At the annual Peak Awards in November, Atlantic Home Warranty announced that Ramar Construction Limited was the winner of the 2010 Customer Choice Award in the category of more than 20 homes.
Each year Atlantic Home Warranty invites eligible Builders to participate in the voluntary contest. Those that partake have surveys sent to their new homeowners who took possession of their new home within the designated time frame. Homeowners who return the survey have their name entered into a draw for $500.00.
The survey consists of 26 questions that deal with the homeowners’ experience with their builder in all aspects of the purchase of a new home. This included the builder’ sales staff or their realtor, office and construction staff as well as the builder’s after sales service. The last question of the survey asked the homeowner if they would recommend the builder to their family and friends who are thinking of purchasing a new home.
Each builder receives their confidential results by individual question and they are able to compare their result to that of the provincial average for each question.
This information is very valuable for each builder as it allows them to compare their result with their peers to see where they are doing well or where may need to improve their service.
